It\u2019s a simple ask, before you walk through the doorway, look back behind you to make sure that no one else is coming before you move on. And if someone is \u2013 pass the door to them! I don\u2019t care if you have to stand there awkwardly for a second or two, just do it \u2013 it\u2019s common decency. In the past week, there have been at least a handful of instances where the person in front of me let the door close completely in my face, when I was just a mere few steps behind them. Either that or I was forced to chase after the door to make sure that I caught it before it fully closed. Each time this happened I could feel my blood boil and my palms sweat with anger.
