‘Dear sisters’<\/span><\/h2>\n

“Targeting My whole life I\u2019ve struggled with trusting women
\nFrom bullying to body-shaming
\nTo slut-shaming other women
\nI heard girls say things like
\nI love her, but she\u2019s a dirty ho
\nShe\u2019d be so much prettier without that nose
\nShe\u2019s not that talented
\nShe\u2019ll never make it
\nThink of the ratio.
\nThese are your sisters
\nWe don\u2019t exist in silos.
\nI propose you outgrow your opposition to one another
\nYour experience is of each other
\nIf we are fighting for equality there has to be comradery
\nSo, this is a letter to every woman who knows better
\nThan to scarlet letter their sister
\nTo whisper or backstab a sister
\nThere is no progress when we march in different directions
\nCorrection \u2014
\nThere is no progress when we march in discriminatory sections
\nWhite women, show up for your sisters of color.
\nStraight women, show up for your sisters of LGBTQ+
\nWomen, show up
\nHave the guts to overlook differences
\nBecause really the difference is as drastic as:
\nProgress or no progress.
\nWe can\u2019t afford to divide each other
\nSince early days we are taught to compare
\nAnd compete with one another
\nYou are not devalued
\nEven if the woman next to you appears to be perfect.
\nYou are not devalued
\nIf your sisters are achieving greatness.
\nYou are always of value
\nIf you value you
\nDear sisters,
\nTake a look in the mirror
\nAnd see yourself a little clearer
\nWhat type of women do you show up for?
\nHold yourself accountable
\nShow up for the sisters you might not know or understand
\nShow up for the sisters you might not like at all.
\nShow up for all of us
\nBecause unity begins with you
\nAnd who you choose
\nTo show up forbest in class and possibly build ROI. Funneling user stories so that as an end result, we create a better customer experience.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
