Who I Am.<\/h4>\n

I am a Fashion Stylist based in NYC. I style for magazines such as L\u2019Officiel AU, PhotoBook, New York Moves, Genlux, and Glamour. I style celebrities such as: Jim Parsons, Penn Badgley, Maria Sharapova, Rachel Brosnahan, David Harbour and more. I own and am Editor-In-Chief for PhotoBook Magazine. PhotoBook, an online magazine based in New York City, curates original, creative works that reflect the social conscience sweeping the fashion industry around the world. It focuses on emerging talent while celebrating racial and other types of diversity in its coverage of ethical and sustainable brands.<\/p>\n

Tell us in your own words why you do what you do, keep this positive and relevant including the passion and vision you had to live this new life you have created for yourself.<\/h4>\n

I have always wanted to be a fashion stylist, since a teenager, I dressed all my friends, dreamed of being in NYC and obsessed with magazines. Over many years, I still love magazines, and started my own magazine, PhotoBook, with a focus on celebrity styling. I switched from catalog and editorial styling to start celebrity mid career. I started PhotoBook as a way to build a portfolio filled with celebrities and meeting publicists, but fell in love working on it, and seeing the potential with a growing team, I decided to develop it into a full business. PhotoBook was started almost 4 years ago.<\/p>\n

What was it that prompted the change in your journey?<\/h4>\n

I was working for 20 years in my career on staff with the steady flow of
\nwork and benefits and scared to leave this but felt I never reached my full potential or passion. I decided to take a leap of faith and follow my dreams, you only live once, so do what is you want. I switched my portfolio, which took lots of work from catalog to editorial\/celebrity.\/red carpet styling a few years later, I started PhotoBook.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Is a life goal important to you and how would you define this?<\/h4>\n

Yes, I always wanted to do what is I do now. I dreamed of it, and that is what encouraged me to step out of the comfort zone of a staff position. Give it a shot, worse case scenario, you at least tried.<\/p>\n

Why is it important to follow your dream and what have you share from this?<\/h4>\n

Dreams are important and to follow that is satisfying. I felt I had to because there was nothing else that interested me as far as a career. There have been a lot of obstacles along the way, but I feel to keep moving forward is the best way to go.<\/p>\n

Where do you go from here, what does the future hold?<\/h4>\n

I feel like I am in a place that I feel excited, but patience is still needed. I am planing on continuing what I am doing, and hoping to take it all to the next level.<\/p>\n
