\nIsn\u2019t it funny when your internet connection magically disconnects on the day that you have to give the most important Zoom presentation of the year? Or when you have been using your $5,000 Apple computer for more than fifteen minutes and it starts overheating, making your room sound like a landing-strip at the airport? I truly believe that my electronics have a personal vendetta on me and plan to stop working when it inconveniences me the most. It has to be personal. There is no way that I can watch Tiktok videos on my iPhone for five hours straight and still have 98% battery, but when I am trying to call an Uber in the pouring rain at 4 AM, my battery is nowhere to be seen.
