… a further step down this extremely slippery slope…

QR code menus are driving me bonkers. So many restaurants these days are making me, forcing me, really, to scan a code to access their menu. Do they realize that this is less convenient and incredibly annoying? I never thought I’d miss holding a page of french dishes and their constituent ingredients, but oh, I do. I don’t want to wait for my signal to get better to have to figure out what side dish I want, nor would I like to go cross-eyed reading the tiny lettering on my definitively not menu-sized phone. I get that we needed this during the pandemic, but can’t this just be something we leave in those years, like masking up and hoarding toilet paper? I understand the appeal of a Kindle, but not everything that is written in paper must go up in flames! And by the way… they certainly are not doing this for to save a tree… they are simply just greedy; building and maintaining an online page is a lot cheaper than printing fancy menus… again and again.Ah the joys of making money!
