Sometimes the best way to reset in the city is to just walk—and keep walking. You start out with the intention of clearing your mind, but before you know it, you’re winding through quiet side streets, crossing over bridges, and stumbling upon corners of the city you never knew existed. It’s like getting a new perspective on everything, whether it’s the way the light hits a building, the random street art, or the sounds of the city shifting when you get far enough away from the crowds. There’s something oddly peaceful about it. And while you might not solve all your problems by walking, you’ll definitely end up with new favorite spots to take in the view…and a high step count.

When did we decide walking had to be so serious? Imagine if we just started skipping everywhere—grocery store, work, first dates. The world would instantly be 30% more joyful (leave me alone, skipping feels like a fun 3). Skipping is literally free serotonin.
Next time I catch myself overthinking, I’m just gonna skip to my destination. Embarrassing? Maybe. But also, maybe I’ll start a movement. Who’s stopping us? Gravity? Social norms? I refuse. See you on the skipping revolution tour.
