Daytime Friends… And Nighttime Lovers… Really

Why do more friend’s not have kids together? Why is that still such a foreign thing in our current day society? People always say romance is dead in 2023, but like no it should be deader, let’s kill it more. Friends go through rough times together. My childhood best friend and I didn’t talk for 4 months once because she didn’t like that I was letting myself date a shithead. If that isn’t the healthiest drama I’ve ever heard. Like my friends and I fight, but it’s bickering, or it’s “I love you so much and that’s why i’m criticizing you about this”. When couples fight it’s “you’re just like my father”, or “you bring up every single deep rooted issue and exacerbate it times 10”, or “loving you makes me compromise all my self worth and values and core beliefs and I feel like I have a personality disorder now”. I live with my best friend and she told me yesterday, “you kind of yelled in my face just then and it was really annoying”, and I went, “you’re right, sorry”. What about a romantic relationship seems essential for children? Romantic love will always be out there for them to experience and see, but a child needs to witness just any sort of healthy, stable love growing up, that’s friends people!
