Why is it that money controls everything you do? Everyone likes to say money isn’t everything. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely believe that to be true. However, in this society, money is everything. If you want food, you need money. If you wanna go and have a good time, you need money. If you simply wanna pee in a dingy public restroom, you have to buy something first. Money can’t buy happiness but it sure can get you quite close whether you believe it or not. What would this world be if people weren’t forced to live in a capitalist society? Would we be happier? Would society function better? I’ve always wondered how unified people would be if it weren’t for different social classes. It makes me wonder what life could’ve been. I imagine people embracing the fruits of nature more, talking on the phone less, and having genuine conversations beyond “How are you?” Why isn’t there a section of the world that you can live this way if you want to? It’s not like there aren’t people with enough money to do it…
