Sycophants have brown noses

We as a society need to start shaming kiss-asses more often. My fury began as a child, when my brother would roll over and kiss the ground my parents walked on during any family disagreements, leaving me to look like the problem child! What happened to sibling solidarity? The issue only got worse at school, where certain goody two shoes would REMIND the teacher to assign us homework should they forget for one day—genuinely, what kind of diabolical nonsense was that? Anything to get the teacher to smile upon you and praise you, but at the cost of your fellow students? Unfortunately this continues on when we enter our careers. At my first shitty teenage summer job, I could barely contain my anger when some coworkers used to compliment my boss’ outfits or laugh at all his unfunny jokes. Of course, when he raged later, he would take out his anger on the rest of us, not them. What happened to we’re in this together? My friend told me a story of one of her professors who projected a student’s email asking for an extension on an essay, and asked the class to take a vote on whether or not she should grant it! Unbelievably, my friend was the only one who voted yes. Is it just our generation? Am I the only one who sees something fundamentally wrong with this? In any situation, those who don’t have the power should stick together and help each other. End the kiss ass epidemic!
