Every time I see somebody miss the train by seconds I ask them (only in my head of course, I’m not that rude or brave) ‘what did you do with that extra minute that caused you to be late?’ Extra sleep? Last bit of morning news? Leggie with your partner? Or are you just plain stupid? That normal rules don’t apply to you. On a recent flight this time I saw a young mother get in a row with the passenger next to her about swapping seats and a similar thought came to me. Just because you didn’t book a plane ticket for you and your child next to one another (and why not”) doesn’t mean that anyone is required to give up their seat for you. You are not entitled to it. Next time prepare better. Oh and by the way a window seat is not the same thing as a middle seat and you know it.
