“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like there’s nobody listening, And live like it’s heaven on earth.”

Why not dance at home by yourself to your own music? Seriously—why the hell not? Who made the rule that dancing has to be reserved for clubs or parties? I’ve got a playlist that hits, a floor that isn’t judging me (but a mirror that definitely is). There’s something about blasting your songs, the ones that hit you right in the moment, and just letting your body move however it feels in the comfort of your living room. No choreography, no pressure, no audience. Just you and the beat…and perhaps a random hairbrush mic moment. People spend so much time worrying about how they look or saving their energy for “real” events. But dancing around your house? That is the real event. You get to take up space and feel something—joy, release, maybe even a little power. So yeah, I’m going to twirl in my pajamas and hit belt as loud as I can when I’m left in my apartment alone. It’s not cringe—it’s freedom.
